The workshops begin by taking you back to the fundamentals of breath, presence and alignment as the place from which to build a strong, powerful practice. By centring the workshop around and focusing on structure and alignment of postures and correct breathing technique, the workshop will give you a good, solid foundation and understanding of how to practice yoga the right way, healing your body and helping to centre your mind.
Doing a workshop is an invaluable tool, whether you are a beginner or a regular practitioner. They are essential for beginners to form good habits and technique and to create the necessary awareness of movement and good alignment, therefore preventing the pitfalls of bad habits and bad posture which can lead to pain and injury. You will be given the right tools from the beginning to facilitate healthy movement and a focused mind, which together will unlock the potential of your yoga practice.
For regular practitioners, the impact of a workshop can be transformative, as it is very easy to become disconnected and mechanical or fall into bad habits of movement and alignment. Bringing presence and awareness to your practice and emphasising the breath brings you back into your body and properly focuses the mind to bring out your true potential.
As you are listening to and observing demonstrations of alignment, it is advisable to practise the class after the workshop, as you can then work on the techniques you have learnt.
The workshops are free. At our studio we feel the more we can help you to love and grow with this powerful yoga, the more it benefits us all! Give us a few hours of your time and we will guarantee you a wonderful journey on the Bikram rollercoaster!
