The Classes

We have developed a range of classes where there is something for everybody. Whatever your fitness level, your daily schedule or your yoga ability. All our classes deliver the same awesome health benefits, and will all change you from the inside out.

Classic (90 minute class).

The ever-popular original Bikram 26 posture sequence, dialogue led by one of our trained teachers. The series becomes more challenging and cardiovascular as you are taken through the initial standing postures, which are then followed by the floor series of deeper postures on the mats,  finishing with breathing and relaxation.

Express (60 minute class).

All of the above, we’ve just  managed to squeeze it all into just one hour. It’s absolutely ideal for before and after work. Be assured it still delivers all the benefits and feel-good results. This class works harder on your stamina and cardiovascular system and really helps to build your 90 mins classes.

Warm Vinyasa Flow. 

A general level class at a moderate temperature and features many postures which aren’t part of the Bikram practice, in a flowing sequence. The focus in this class is on upper body strengthening, deep hip opening, some twisting and shoulder opening, butt toning and core building….working 100% of the body. It develops alignment while building strength, stamina and flexibility and a strong connection with the breath, as you move through the sequence through the rhythm of inhaling and exhaling.

Yin Yoga

A deliciously deep and mindful practice in which floor-based postures are held for 3-5 minutes. This allows the body to slowly stretch and unwind. Knots in muscle fibres may release and energy can flow freely throughout the body. You might find yourself feeling ‘lifted’ and ‘light’ after a Yin Yoga class. By staying we can enable stillness to arrive in the physical body. Through this stilling we create a space to witness the sensations in the body and fluctuations of mind, emotions and breath. This practice really helps to balance our Yang lifestyles. Increases mobility and flexibility, especially in hips, sacrum and spine. Helps Lower stress levels, Strengthening and lubrication of joints. What’s not to like!? Oh… and the heats off.

Fierce Grace(80 – 90 minutes)

Our user-friendly but challenging general level class. Hip openers, deep twists, upper body strengtheners, bum and ab toners, this fully rounded workout works 100% of the body. It is a combination of Hatha, Power and Ashtanga yoga, Interval and Core Training and offers peak fitness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Performed to music this class is designed to develop a sense of enjoyment and freedom and to allow one’s breath and energy to fuel the practise. This class is the centre spoke of all the classes and the class they all originate from. Key benefits: upper body, strength, toned bum and abs, grace and fluidity, deep expression of the self.

Deep Core(75 minutes)

The deepest stretch out there. Suitable for beginners and advanced students alike, this is an alignment class, both motivating and relaxing. Floor-based, allowing us to drop any desire to “perform” and connect deeply with body and breath. Designed to realign postural issues and release stress, the slower pace allows time to work with injuries, learn correct alignment and work on flexibility. Key benefits:Deep hip opening, leg stretching, learning alignment, and developing flexibility.

Candlelit class.

Now available on Friday evening 5.30pm and Sunday 5pm.  We’ve added relaxing candle light to make our evening class a gently soothing and restorative one. Light levels are low enough to bathe you in a glow, but bright enough to see what you need to. A terrific way to end the week, and  also to finish the weekend.

Classes with Music.

Now available on select teachers classes. We are introducing more and more classes with music. Which is due to popular demand by our students. It is difficult to get the tunes right, but once you do….. It rocks the class!!! (Check schedule for details) Enjoy the experience of practicing with music. Drawing on especially selected playlists. We guarantee to take you to a new level of relaxation and to be totally immersed  in these session.

 Workshop.

The workshops begin by taking you back to the fundamentals of breath, presence and alignment as the place from which to build a strong, powerful practice. By centring the workshop around and focusing on structure and alignment of postures and correct breathing technique, the workshop will give you a good, solid foundation and understanding of how to practise Bikram yoga the right way, healing your body and helping to centre your mind.
